Vijayadashami also known as Dasahara, Dusshera, Dasara, Dussehra or Dashain is a major Hindu festival celebrated at the end of Navratri every year. It is observed on the tenth day in the Hindu calendar month of Ashvin or Kartik, the sixth and seventh month of the Hindu Luni-Solar Calendar respectively , which typically falls in the Gregorian months of September and October.
Navaratri is a Hindu festival that spans nine nights (and ten days) and is celebrated every year in the autumn.
Navratri/ Durga Puja 2019 dates:
In 2019, Durga Puja (Navratri) will be celebrated from 29th September to 7th October 2019. This auspicious Nine Night & Ten Days festival is the worshipped of the nine-forms of Maa Durga.
29th September – Shailputri – FirstDay of Navratri. Kalash is set-up on the first day of Pratipada-Navratri.

30th September- Brahmacharini – Second day of Navratri.

1st October- Chandraghanta – Tritiya-Navratri.
ॐ देवी चन्द्रघण्टायै नमः॥
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु माँ चन्द्रघण्टा रूपेण संस्थिता।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
2nd October- Kushmanda – Fourth day of Navratri.
ॐ देवी कूष्माण्डायै नमः॥
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु माँ कूष्माण्डा रूपेण संस्थिता।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
3rd October- Skandamata – Fifth day of Navaratri.
ॐ देवी स्कन्दमातायै नमः॥
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु माँ स्कन्दमाता रूपेण संस्थिता।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
4th October- Katyayani – Shashthi Puja – Sixth day of Navaratri .
ॐ देवी कात्यायन्यै नमः॥
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु माँ कात्यायनी रूपेण संस्थिता।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
5th October- Kalratri – On Saptami, Patrika Pravesh Puja and Nisha Puja are performed – Seventh day of Navratri.

या देवी सर्वभूतेषु माँ कालरात्रि रूपेण संस्थिता।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
6th October- Mahagauri – Mahashtami worshipped on Ashtami.

या देवी सर्वभूतेषु माँ महागौरी रूपेण संस्थिता।

7th October- Siddhidatri – Mahanavami is worshipped on the ninth day of Navratri.

या देवी सर्वभूतेषु माँ सिद्धिदात्री रूपेण संस्थिता।

8th October- Vijayadashami – Jayanti Dharan, Aparajita Pujan, Shami Pujan.
